Message from the Superintendent

The start of the 2010-2011 school year brings with it excitement in our accomplishments and anticipation for the potential of another great year.  Both of our campuses have been named EXEMPLARY campuses by TEA's accountability rating system.  The dedication of our staff and the hard work of our students have paid off.  We knew we could...and we did!!  We also celebrate a number of changes that we have as we enter the new year.  We have totally renovated our gym by redoing the gym floor and painting the interior of the gym.  We are also in the process of securing new paddings for our walls with designs showing our 'Wildcat Pride".  We look forward to the first game in this newly renovated gym.  We have also completed a project that adds over 1000 sq. ft. of workshop area in the Ag Building.  We hope this will enhance our Ag programs by giving them plenty of room for their projects.  Also, with the completion of the new Administration Building near the student parking lot, we've completed some renovations in the interior of the campus.  In doing so, we have increased the number of classrooms by two and added a new computer lab for our students. We are hoping this will relieve any pressures created by our growth over the last few years.  And finally, as you may have already noticed athletes in 'blue helmets' working out on the premises these last few weeks, on September 17th, we will have a historical event--the first football game with a Bloomburg team.  The coaches and young men had an outstanding showing in their scrimmage against two other teams recently and gave the fans a sense that this season will be an exciting one to watch.  Regardless of the final record for the team, history will be made.

As I stated, we are excited about what we've accomplished at BISD and look forward in anticipation of all that is to come our way this year.  We ask that you continue to support us and work with us in our ultimate goal of making Bloomburg ISD the "BEST SMALL SCHOOL IN EAST TEXAS" !!
