Mission The mission of the Bloomburg ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is to ensure that all children in the BISD grades PK- 12 will have healthy bodies and minds through health education, healthy practices, and modeling of good health behaviors. |

Goal The goal of the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is to make recommendations to Bloomburg ISD decision-makers regarding: ♦ safety and health of the school environment ♦ policies and procedures that impact student health ♦ students' needs related to health, knowledge, and skills |
| Community
Volunteers Needed A School Health Advisory Council is an advisory group of individuals who represents segments of the community and acts collectively to provide advice to the school system on aspects of the school health program. The Advisory Council meets up to four times a year. Terms for serving on the Council run for two years. The expertise you would bring to this council would be extremely valuable to the students of Bloomburg ISD.
