Scholarship available to son/daughter of a Wal-Mart employed full-time for at least one year who is a graduating high school senior. Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc
IOTA PHI LAMBDA Sorority, Inc awards scholarships for scholastic achievement to African American ladies who wish to pursue a college degree in the field of Business. Winners are selected on the basis of their SAT or ACT scores, as well as meeting other IOTA eligibility requirements.

American Foreign Service Assosciation Essay Contest
The members of the Foreign Service are like the olive branches in the right talon of the American eagle, advising the president and Secretary of State about foreign relations and carrying out the president's foreign policies. The members of the military service are like the arrows in the eagle's left talon. Although these two groups work together for the national interest of the United States, the Foreign Service is not as well known as the military service. The objective of this contest is to help you and other teenagers better understand how the men and women of the Foreign Service serve the national interests of the United States. The Nelson B. Delavan Foundation, the Diplomatic Automobile Sales, Inc. and the American Foreign Service Association are the sponsors of the National High School Essay contest. Prairie View A&M USDA/1890 National Scholars Program
In 2006, the USDA and 17 Historically Black Land Grant Universities and Tuskegee University will offer 34 fully paid, 4-year scholarships, use of a computer, summer employment, and employment benefits. The University will pay for room and board. Texas Engineering Foundation
The Texas Society pf Professional Engineers [TSPE] in affiliation with Texas Engineering Foundation [TEF] will award several scholarships to students studying to become engineers in an engineering program at an ABET – accredited [Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology] Texas college or university.


Texas Lyceum Leadership Awards
One of the missions of the Texas Lyceum is to identify and develop the next generation of top leadership in the State of Texas, and to do this, this program invests in Texas schools, communities, and future leaders by offering scholarships awards to qualified individuals. The purpose of offering this scholarship is to assist motivated Texas students, exhibiting leadership qualities, to attain their goals through higher education.


Texas Student Housing Scholarship Program
A scholarship program that makes awards available to graduating seniors who are accepted to attend college in Austin, College station, Denton or San Marcos and have not signed off campus housing leases. Texas State University and Texas Women’s University normally do not permit first year students to live off campus.


The McKelvey Foundation Entrepreneurial Scholarships
The entrepreneurial scholarships are available to high school students who have started a business. The Foundation will award 100 student scholarships of up to $10,000 per year for four years of college. For more information, see

American Dream Scholarship
Established in partnership with the United Negro College Fund, the American Dream Scholarship Program is open to African Americans with financial need. First in My Family Scholarship Program
The First in My Family Scholarship Program, developed in partnership with the Hispanic College Fund, offers scholarships to Hispanic-American students who are the first in their family to attend college and have financial need. Unmet Need Scholarships
Open to families with a combined income of $30,000 or less, this program is intended to supplement financial aid packages that fall more than $1,000 short of students' financial need. This scholarship is not designed as a substitute for aid provided by an institution. The Unmet Need Scholarship program is open to US citizens and permanent residents who are accepted or enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at approved, accredited institutions. W Price Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The Texas Restaurant Association offers a scholarship dedicated to the education of future restaurateurs in Texas. The scholarship is worth $5000 for a student attending a four-year university or culinary academy and $2000 for a student attending a two-year college. KFC Colonel’s Scholars
The KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program was created in 2006 and is dedicated to assisting students with financial need who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a public institution within their legal state of residence. To qualify, a students must graduate from high school this academic year and maintain a minimum high school GPA of 2.75 or higher. Students complete their application online at

Americans for the Arts / Art Institute Poster Design Scholarship
The Americans for the Arts/Art Institutes Poster Design Competition challenges high school seniors to create a poster design that interprets the theme “Life is Better With Art In It.” The grand prize winner will receive a $25,000 tuition scholarship to The Art Institute at which they enter the competition. DECA Scholarship Opportunities
DECA students have the opportunity to apply for scholarships that require that the student work for the companies that offer the scholarship. Those applications include Safeway, Kmart, Claire’s, Sears, Finish Line and TJMaxx/Marshalls. All other scholarships open to all DECA students.

Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation
The Foundation will provide over $100,000 in scholarships at the high school level through Who’s Who Among American High School Students. Each award will be any accredited college or university.

Art Institute’s “Best Teen Chef” Scholarship
The Best Teen Chef competition is for high school seniors who love to cook! Interested students are asked to compete for the chance to take part in a cook-off to demonstrate their culinary skills. Texas Trial Lawyers Association Scholarship
This program is dedicated to assisting students who have proven the ability to do college level work, yet may not be able to obtain financial aid through traditional sources. Slough Foundation Scholarship

The Goss-Michael Texas State Scholarship
The Goss-Michael Foundation is extending a scholarship opportunity to all Texas high school graduation seniors who would like to pursue a college education in visual arts. Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Miller and Bowie Counties
Single parents of Miller and Bowie Counties may apply for up to a $750 scholarship to assist in paying for approved expenses such as tuition, books, rent or mortgage, car repairs, utility companies and childcare. Federal student aid is financial assistance that’s available through the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Federal Student Aid.
